Media Content Design and Production Personal Project Management - Plan

My project idea is to create a blog, which I will continuously update, that focuses on music and gigs, showing footage from concerts and giving opinions on both new and old albums. I will create a blogpost online, then insert both photos and videos I have took myself from gigs, also taking my own photos of things such as vinyl’s I own, cd’s etc. I’ll use my phone to film and take photos then I’ll use a computer and software to edit. For the blog itself I’d also need to create a logo which I can do either using computer software or an app. Being a blog, my project isn’t a one off. I have 3+ gigs booked so I plan to take both photos and videos when I’m there to then upload and discuss: what the concert was like, the highlights, etc. I learned a lot about how you should stay in focus of what you’re talking about as you can go off topic with these things. From what I’ve read from other blogs, it seems easy to go slightly off topic and start talking about your personal opinion ...

Promotional video

promotional video task For our first media task we had to create a promotional video for the college:  I think in the end our video turned out ok and we successfully completed the task given. We worked well as group while facing some difficulties: we originally filmed the video on a mobile phone but after plugging the phone into the computer it wouldn't upload meaning we had to start again which lost us some time.  I believe our outcome met the criteria and would work well as a promotional video. Maybe to improve we could of added voice overs and perhaps made some clips longer and more detailed.  Evaluation - I think our promotional video went quite well: the end product was  good,  it met the criteria and we worked well as a team.       We originally filmed the video using a mobile phone which soon caused us some difficulties: the footage wasn’t very clear due to my hands involuntarily shaking while fil...

Market Research Task

I currently have three different ideas to what i could do - Idea one: A music review website/blog The website Pitchfork reviews music of different genre's as soon as released. It goes into detail on a specific album, its artist and more. The writer of each blog gives their honest opinion the music ten gives it a rating out of ten and they also supply statistics. I think a weakness could be, with all music review websites, that since its only one person giving their opinion on an album, another person may have a different opinion. Another weakness I picked out was that I think they could review the album more rather than the artist as a person - In a review for an album I think the writer went slightly off topic and began talking about her personal opinion on the artist as a person, which as a reader didn't appeal to me as I want to read about the album. A second website/blog was The Young Folks, which reviews concerts as well as new music which I would also do since I hav...
