Music Video Pitch Log
20/01/2020: Introduced to the current pitch, listened to the song a few times then began to think about what type of music video I would be pitching to the class.
27/01/2020: Decided that my music video would have a summer theme/vibe and would include things like festivals, the beach, parties, etc. For the synopsis, I thought an idea could be to create the video out of artwork - almost like stop motion - since all their videos are based upon real people so it could be something different. If I were to choose the idea of the video being a summer aesthetic I will produce a storyboard focusing on what the video would include. I then decided that the runtime would be the same length as the song, so that the song begins at the same time as the music video.
03/02/2020: Wrote down how I think for the cast, Andy Cooper should be the only celebrity since the focus should stay mostly on him, while still having things like extras and dancers in the back. Wrote about the colors include in the video and about how they should all be bright and vibrant to match the tone of the song.
10/02/2020: After deciding on the basics of my idea, I began my powerpoint while putting everything into more detail.
17/02/2020: Continued with my powerpoint, typing up things like the conventions and what my two beginner ideas were ( either a summery vibe or a 90s vibe ). I then wrote out the synopsis to make sure it sounded okay, then typed it up into my powerpoint - basically summing up what my video would be based around / feature.
24/02/2020: I typed up the information on the runtime and the cast, explaining how the video will be the same length as the song with no extra time, and that the cast would be all extra’s apart from when The Allergies and Andy Cooper would have a feature at the end of the video. I then began to talk about the imagery within the video and how i would picture the styles etc.
02/03/2020: Added the schedule of filming to my powerpoint, starting hie some shots would take longer than others while one in particular would be taken in one shot to show the uniqueness of the situation. I then began to talk about the location the video would take place, as well as starting to talk about the technical equipment needed.
09/03/2020: Added to my powerpoint the audience profile of my music video, as well as its release date and which platforms it would be uploaded onto. I soon added a slide on the marketing of the video and described what my main poster idea would be to promote the video.
16/03/2020: For the sake of my presentation being more enjoyable i added a slide simply consisting of images, to let the audience picture and capture the essence of what i’d like my video to involve - the sun, the beach, festivals, and more. I finished my presentation off by stating why i believe my idea is the best.
23/03/20: Added the last few details to my presentation, while also going back and adding more colourful images to each slide so, again, the audience are able to picture my idea in more detail. I also created my hand out for the class
