LA1: Use Research Methods to Gather Material: Qualitative Questionnaire ( Electronic )

After creating my Quantitative paper based survey and collecting those results, I then created an electronic survey to find out further why people chose what they did.

My questionnaire:

In some questions the answers were quite similar and I saw a sequence, while in some they were quite varied -

A common recurrence to why people prefer to watch films at home is because they'd prefer not to spend the money, it's easier and more comfortable.

Out of action, comedy, horror, drama and sci-fi; action is the most popular, with just one more vote than horror.

People enjoy horror the most as 'it leaves you on the edge of your seat' and simply just because 'I like being scared'.

Out of action, comedy, horror, sci-fi and drama; drama is the least popular and the next being romance.

Drama was voted least popular because it's 'boring', 'over the top' and simply because 'it's drama'.

75% use Netflix, because of its 'exclusive shows' and how it's 'better than other streaming sites'. The 25% who don't say it's because it's 'too expensive'.

5 out of 8 people prefer modern films over older films (60s to 80s) because of the better effects and better storylines.

6 out of 8 people enjoy remakes of films but only sometimes, while the other 2 people don't like them at all. A reason people like them is because they believe some parts of the film can be improved but a disadvantage would be that they can easily be ruined.

If people enjoy a film and want to watch it again, over half said they'd just stream it online instead of buying a physical copy as its easier and cheaper.
